An historic cottage within the boundaries of a National Seashore was in perilous condition. The new owner needed to demolish and rebuild the structure. Our work was to provide a path forward, investigate the condition and remaining historic features, document the building and make the case to local boards that while the cottage lived in the hearts and minds of many, it could be replaced without undermining its significance.
